Tamara Philippeaux is a Haitian-American entrepreneur and philanthropist. She is the founder of Island TV, a Caribbean television platform that she built from a 1-hour weekly program to a 24-7 broadcast station. Philippeaux led the charge developing programming, advertising content and sales. After operating the business for 21 years, she recently sold majority shares.
She has also served the communications needs of various Haitians in politics, and has been honored by Miami Dade county, multiple cities and community organizations. She also sits on numerous boards and remains active in many local causes.
